St. Andrew's Cathedral, AD 1835

St Andrew’s Cathedral. is an Anglican cathedral. Named after the patron saint of Scotland, it is the oldest Anglican house of worship in Singapore and was gazetted as a national monument in 1973.

The foundation stone of the original church was laid on 9 November 1835. The church was named after the patron saint of Scotland because initial financial support came from the local Scottish community.
