Red Necked Grebe portrait (Podiceps grisegena)

Urban animals often appear bolder towards humans, being used to their presence on a regular basis. This allows someone to observe and photograph birds at a very close distance. Although not my favourite pic, I appreciate this one as a reminder of when and where one's expectations are aligned with how nature behaves towards us.
