The Sacred Ibis, a majestic bird that became an invasive species! Having escaped from a wildlife park and become overly invasive in the Loire-Atlantique, ouest of France region, it was classified as an invasive species (with a population exceeding 6,000); in recent years, it has been the subject of culling and sterilization campaigns that reduced its numbers by 90%. Today, it poses less of a problem but remains under monitoring.
