Greek revolutionary 1821
This is one I’ve dug out from the archives, taken on the beautiful Greek island of Santorini in 2021. A very colourful character in traditional dress celebrating 200 years of independence from the Turks! Striking different poses and brandishing his pistol and dagger he encouraged people to stand with him to have their photo taken. As you can imagine there was no shortage of willing participants, so In between the flurry of tourists I managed to take this one 😀
