Fruit Box Label

CC Rainbow Game - Red

Spotted in the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum which is housed in a historic Southern Pacific Railroad building. It was my first time going inside this museum. Apples in Watsonville, California would have historically been shipped by the Southern Pacific Railroad.

Doing a genealogical search on Peter M. Resetar, I found he was born in Dalmatia in 1871 per the 1920 census. Later census records say born in Yugoslavia. Dalmatia became part of Yugoslavia, and Croatia later.

The 1920 record says Mr. Resetar of Watsonville was a Fruit Dealer, and employer at a Packing House. He owned his home with no mortgages.

There is a former hotel in Watsonville called the Resetar Hotel. I do not know what relative may have owned this hotel.
