1955 Mercury D-528 Concept

A large Fibre-glass concept vehicle that was never shown to the public but served as a testbed for Ford Engineers to try out new ideas. These included air-conditioning through a perforated headlining and the rear fenders (wings) that housed the spare tyre on one side and the fuel tank on the other. Rear electric windows were also a first.
