visual communication

This is a print I have taken from my printmaking project as we had to choose a cause/movement that we felt strongly for. We had to come up with ideas that are outside the box, to represent our movements. Unfortunately as we are in lockdown I wasn't able to produce my final print because I don't have a press on hand so I'm showing the digital drawing that I produced which I will use as a reference. I chose to first draw a linear drawing of a flower as people use flowers to represent different birthing months, but also because flowers are very delicate as are we. The lines that cover the flower are a way to show the different paths people have taken. The fallen petals represent one choice and the fresh flower represents another. I believe that my idea and execution was successful as when looking at this image your thoughts won't go to pro-choice so I was able to come up with an idea that It outside the box.
