Leighton Moss

A fine day was forecast, but a heavy overnight mist prevailed until after 10am, Leighton Moss and Bearded Tits in late September /October came to mind, and as a full lockdown is i think not far off the decision to go for it was made. Anne and I had a glorious day despite the crowds of similar minded Bearded Tit hopefuls.

The birds were about in the reeds and could be clearly heard and occasionally seen but not coming to the grit trays as we hoped for. On to the centre for a cuppa as too many would be toggers were out in force, then from the centre which is in the main closed down, except for Lilian's Hide and the tower, we went to the Morecambe Pools, mainly quiet but here's a few pics that we got.
