Celestial Gathering 2

The Moon, shining through a touch of evening murk, follows three bright planets toward the horizon soon after sunset in Albuquerque, New Mexico, on 17 June 2026. In a line below the Moon are Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury. To the right are the bright twins of Gemini, Pollux and Castor the seventeeth and twenty-third brightest stars of the night sky. An evening earlier, the Moon was near the center of the Jupiter-Mercury-Pollux triangle. (See my previous photograph, "Celestial Gathering.")
