Modification of the Orient Express to fit 2x PF L Motors inside the boiler.
This design is intended to make the bare minimum cosmetic modifications while motorizing this locomotive, pushing out the boiler only a 1/2 plate. Unintentionally, this means that the smoke box and boiler are now perfectly flush.. which works out just fine!
2x 20 tooth bevel gears rotate a single shaft to provide power to the middle wheel. This design does mean that there will be some reliance on the driving rods to do their real job of driving the flanged wheels, though LEGO's parts should be up to the task.
