Buzzing off shed

My first visit to the electrified system at NCB Westoe colliery in South Shields found English Electric EE1795 coming off shed on 3rd September 1980. This loco, number 11 in the fleet, was the first of a new design of locos supplied by English Electric in the 1950s and became the mainstay of the Harton Railway operations until closure.
