An Eternal Rest

Nearly 70 miles from any semblance of pavement, the abandoned remains of the Eagle Lake & West Branch Railroad rust away on a 3000 foot stretch of land between Eagle Lake and Chamberlain Lake. The site is so remote that GNP abandoned the two massive steam locomotives, trackage, railcars, and left the site as-is, now entombed by the forest that they once labored to remove.
