Shed 7 news - they are touring again having been part of the beginnings of Brit-pop in 1994 (somewhere I have the Speakeasy CD single).
Sunderland are currently 8th in league 1. Six times winners of the top flight (last in 1936) and dual FA Cup winners (last in 1973 - one of the first cup finals I remember watching).
