8. Wipe down several times with distilled water and a clean rag and let dry. You can't do this too much. The bleach will react with the lacquer if any of it remains.

 

This is the point where you'd make the choice to go with a regular, glossy less paul finish, or to continue to re-stain for a faded finish.
