The Oscar Niemeyer House is an eight-story residential high-rise containing 78 apartments, built in Berlin’s Hansaviertel district for the 1957 International Building Exhibition (IBA). Located approximately seven meters behind the building is a triangular elevator tower housing two elevators; however, these stop only at the fifth and seventh floors. The fifth floor—which is also designated as a communal level—can be reached via the elevator or the stairwell. Here you see the entrance to the elevator tower.
