The large village of Tattershall is situated between the market towns of Sleaford and Horncastle in the district of East Lindsey and the ancient wapentake of Gartree. The collegiate church of Holy Trinity was built between 1472 and 1500.
The village is most famous for its red brick castle that sits next to the church, there is also a 15th century village cross in the old market place and the remains of a 15th century college built for the education of the choristers of Holy Trinity Church.
