English binding, early 17th century, possibly bound by Williamson of Eton. Dark calf over pasteboard. On both covers, John Norton's gold-tooled emblem (based on the Estienne publisher's device) of an olive tree with falling branch with motto 'Noli altum sapere'. Outer border of a single gilt fillet between two blind fillets. Spine in six compartments, outlined by gilt fillets, with repeating tool of a sunburst within an oval wreath, and gilt lettered title over red morocco (probably a later addition). Board edges tooled with a single gilt fillet. Red sprinkled textblock edges.
