Hong Kong/ Travel Wallet
I've struggled over the years to use my Canadian wallet when I travel. European, British and Hong Kong paper currencies are all all wider than the Canadian and U.S. Dollars, which means that money always sticks out of my Canadian wallet.
This time, I was determined to get a Hong Kong wallet for future use, so that local currency can fit well within the wallet in the future.
Cost of the soft-leather wallet: HKD $216 (after 20% discount),which is USD $28, Euro 21 or GBP 18. Needless to say, it's not a brand-name. I'm too cheap to spend between 2x and 20x to buy something famous.
The Octopus card is a "must have" in Hong Kong. It's a prepayment card for public transit, shopping, restaurant, parking, vending machines and much more.
