COLLISION ON THE KIEL CANAL.
Baccara was in collision with the 100 ton German canal ferry Breslau at Brunsbuettel in the Kiel Canal at 6.50 p.m. on 3rd. May 2011 . The cargo ship was underway from Klaipėda, Lithuania to Rotterdam, Holland with a cargo of bulk, liquid fertilizer and grain when the accident happened during an evasive manoeuvre. The canal ferry suffered damage at the hull and upper deck. No injuries were reported. The Baccara continued her voyage around 8 p.m.
