Despite having a pilot on board, Adiante got out of the channel in the area of buoys 8 and 9 and ran its stern aground while entering Ust-Luga, Russia at 7.10 p.m. on 9th. September 2017. She was refloated with the help of a tug at 3.55 p. m. and taken to her mooring.
