Walk in the mist 10

Mist changes the landscape. As well as blurring hard shapes and lowering contrast, it takes away a sense of distance and position. You walk through the land in a bubble of limited visibility and reduced senses.

With this series I wanted to reduce a complex landscape of textures and patterns down to more simple shapes and lines. Trees and bushes reflected upside down in the water, dead branches reaching to clasp something they can never hold. Fine twigs branching like the capillaries of a circulatory system. Here and there structures intrude on the landscape to remind the walker that they are, in fact, just beside a canal in Oxfordshire.
