Eyes Open, Soul Awake
The edge of Chaffinch Island Park at the start of an arresting sunrise.
A few nearby residents also made it here with their cell phones soon after I got this shot. It was classic headless chicken syndrome with me - but luckily I'd visited here before and quickly figured out a good spot to get the sunrise.
Because of the gull, the first direct red light and the contrast of colors I feel this shot was the sweetest of the day.
