Caledonian Travel NH69 GHH

Finally, let’s wrap up, like last time, with the coach that got us there. Back when the COVID pandemic hit and took a sizeable chunk out of the coaching industry, taking the original iteration of National Holidays down with it, I remember being really upset that I would never get a chance to ride on one of their brand new Tourismos, plenty of which I saw on my last National trip to Liverpool. Even though the name on the front of the coach was different, going on this was definitely a nice form of bookends from three years prior.

So, London on the coach. Now that we have mastered the art of travelling by train to King's Cross railway station over the course of 2025, I have my doubts we'll be doing it again. The problem with it is that you are subject to the whims of London traffic... thus leading to a seven hour coach ride broken up by mandatory services stops and long queues getting to the hotel. At least, though, your luggage is (mostly) handled for you and your hotel is part of the package.

This trip in 2023 was a good one, though: it was a bit hair-raisingly close to when I was supposed to submit my University assignments, but it helped provide a decent break from the stress of studies and coming up with new, fresh ideas. It also helped get me to the City of London for the first time, something I've always been wanting to do until that point, plus an area in which my field of English Literature expertise came in handy. In fact, I returned to some of the same spots on this most recent trip into London that I did in 2023! So, in that case, starting Thursday or Friday, hopefully, stay tuned for the latest adventures of Hullian111 into Central London and certain outlying areas. And maybe even Liverpool, too!

And so, the final photo to finish my 2023 261-photo trip to London, two years later than planned due to numerous disruptions and other photographing interests, Caledonian Travel's NH69 GHH, a 2019 Mercedes-Benz Tourismo new to National Holidays, is seen stopped over at a gloomy southbound Woodall services as the coach that took me on this Caledonian trip to London.
