Stagecoach Cambridgeshire ‘The Busway’ 21366 - BU69 XXD
Given the limited time I had, sadly this was the best I could get of the newer fleet of the Busway's MCVs, but it is enough to recognise and talk about. Referring back to the 'new fleet' mentioned in the last post, in February 2020, right before the start of pandemic concerns, Stagecoach Cambridgeshire took delivery of six of these MCV B8RLEs for service on the Cambridgeshire Busway, replacing what I think might be Whippet services that were withdrawn by the company. These are great-looking things inside and out, delivered new in the new Stagecoach branding standard, and are both not the only Evoras purchased by the Stagecoach Group - see Wales and Orkney - and not the only Evoras purchased for services on a busway - see Luton! I hope that whenever I might get some more time to come back here, I might catch one of these in much better light and shadow.
Unfortunately the only MCV-bodied Volvo I caught in Cambridge, Stagecoach Cambridgeshire's 'The Busway'-branded 21366, a 2020 Volvo B8RLE MCV Evora, is seen coming up Bridge Street on an A to St Ives Morrisons.
