Alien world

If I had ever had a problem in setting up a composition out in the field, then this one tops the lot. I had a hell of job trying to just take the whole scene in, I was over the moon thanks to the fog which is rare in my outings, and the diversity of the trees were a real brainstorm for me trying to find order in chaos.

In woodland photography there is almost always chaos, a path or a tree line might ease things up so you have a line to follow, but usually my photography is right in the thick stuff, in the middle of the woodland is where you will find me. I was delighted with the light and the dash of colour from the birch trees dancing in and out of the fog, the disfigured branches center also caught my pleasing eye, and the bark less ghost looking tree on the left. It was a lot to take in and to admire, and after about ten minutes of trying to find the right position, I eventually changed the image area in camera to 16:9 and my troubles were over.

The morning was awesome and came away with two keepers for sure. Tomorrow there is also forecast for fog, I can feel the autumn vibes again. So, I will be going back to my alien world, amongst my tree friends again hoping for some more great imagery.
