(English is not my first language, therefore I hope you can understand what i'm trying to tell. so sorry. this is my first atttempt.)

 

I'm very particular about productivity and GTD, therefore I tried making my desktop works as efficient as possible, while retaining its artistic value. I tweak almost everything to my own satisfaction.

 

1. Winamp running modern City Night skin. Blends well with the theme. Global hotkey enabled so that i won't have to take my hands off my keyboard while typing in Word or playing DoTA to change the current track playing.

 

2. QT TabBar and QT Breadcrumbs help a lot in multi-browsing. And neat too. Removed all the standard buttons because I don't need them anymore.

 

3. Enigma. Just edited the MoxaWeather so that it's aligned horizontally. The lyric under the clock on the left side is not a part of Enigma installation, it's from Minilyric but I edited it's display setting so that it blends well with Enigma.

 

4. Nightly FindeXer is great in bookmarking folders and getting fast-access to the required folder.

 

5. With launchy, who needs a start menu? Got rid of the start button using Start Killer, and installed Launchy instead. Skin: Solid-small-dark by n3-m.deviantart.com

 

6. Program groups. Minimized/opened window goes here. Changed the width to only 10 pixel, so that it can occupied a lot of application window at the same time.

 

7. Not a big fan of docks. Too cheesy. Just a simple QuickLaunch toolbar, aligned so that it is located at the center of the taskbar.

 

8. Changed the system icon using Resource Hacker and Replacer. Quite risky though. Changed embedded icon for certain programs too, such as the Winamp (right) and also Firefox (at the program group on the left side of the screen)
