The last of the big gasometers down at Granton. Deflated (obviously) and decommissioned but with a preservation order on it as part of our heritage.
Not so long ago, before natural gas, things like these were all over the place! (The dome top would rise up inside the infrastructure as it was inflated with gas being stored for fairly local consumption)
