Phebe Martinez-Fuentes, Hanna Early College High School (Brownsville, TX)
Biography: Phebe Martinez Fuentes is a 13 year veteran high school science teacher in South Texas who has taught Biology, Forensics, and Chemistry, while also serving as department chairperson. She earned a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Biology from the University of Texas at Brownsville, now known as the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She strives to inspire and guide underrepresented students including Hispanic girls, in STEM research. Her hobbies include being a member of a women's book club and learning French.
