Day 66 - My neighbors..SAD
None of the neighbors were home when it started, the home in the center he had literally JUST left home, the guy next to him had left 30 minutes prior on his bike, the home on the end the little girl noticed the fire and got out. A neighbor broke windows to try to get to the dog, just as he tried to go in explosions began so we thought the dog was gone.
When the arrived home it was even worse, because the home in the center someone called him and said theirs a fire and it looks like your house and he said he brushed it off and said, it just couldnt be and went about his business to return home and find the news. The firefighters then went in and BROUGHT out the dog, cold and wet but he was fine. THAT makes me feel better, no lives were lost.
The saddest thing for me is that my neighbor said she was coming home from church about 1pm and noticed a small fire at the front door, yet she didn't stop nor called 911 until she heard the explosions and saw billowing smoke from the rooftop.
My child called me while he was at work 2.25 miles away and said: Mommy Oh ur ok, I see smoke from here and it looks like our neighborhood, I looked out my back door and there it was.
