New Z board and chassis, exploded

A new design was required. The concept for the new model was arrived using ECAD software to estimate a board outline.

 

Once the physical area needed for the board outline was determined, I designed a mechanical enclosure for the PCBA. There was considerable going back and forth between packages to accomodate light pipes, mounting holes, and connector footprints.
