Major Henry Harrison Young

Statue in City Hall Park, Providence. Henry Harrison Young (1841–1866) was an American Civil War spy from Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He served in the 2nd Rhode Island Volunteer Infantry regiment from 1861 to 1865. He was promoted to lieutenant colonel of Volunteers in 1865 and served as the Chief of Scouts to General Philip H. Sheridan. The Statue was sculpted by Henry Schonard and dedicated in 1911.
