Cropping: When traveling and taking pictures, there's always the question of people. Do you want them in your image or not? Sometimes it helps to have them in to give your subject perspective. You have to ask yourself - 1. What the main story/subject here and what do I want to bring attention to? 2. How do I want to tell the story? Wide scope where the "looker" is deciding for themselves or are you giving it to them --no question! Here's an example where I wanted to showcase these steep stone steps... the people were on private tour. Without asking them to move (we didn't have time to wait) I decided to take the pic and crop later. I like the middle best in this instance. Far left is the original. Middle crop you still keep the sense of the steps, and they aren't the 2nd place subject in the pic. Right side--I think you lose too much of the sense of how steep they are and the steps themselves start to become secondary...
