Artist statement to accompany image: This piece is about how we are all connected. It is about the cliche, “a chain is only as strong as the weakest link”. I think the cliche is a visual we cling onto and have desires for it to be true, but I think it lacks. Holding on requires work, and I think we all have the capacity to hold on and sustain each other instead of being a single link with our own wishes and desires. It’s much more communal.
