This pool is one of several maintained by local shooting syndicate.

Water Rail present today along with a female Teal which on flushing dived back into cover, - presumably breeding here too.

Just ONE example of the positive contributions made to our countryside by the hunting & shooting fraternity.

I can guarantee if this was on a nature reserve it would be over managed, over visited & the wildlife sanitised out of it.
