Leyland Sherpa 1976
Having been unveiled at the 1974 Earls Court Commercial Motor Show as the Austin-Morris Leyland van, it was given it's own name - Sherpa in May 1975. In 1978 the range was refreshed and benefited higher GVW's, and the 1695cc O Series petrol engine replaced the original 1622cc unit.
In 1982 following the re-organisation of British Leyland, the Sherpa came under the Freight-Rover banner.
