After the fall of the Wall, the Soviets became keen on staging Open Days ("Days of Open Doors") to their barracks. G2 encouraged Russian interpreters to attend these, especially after BRIXMIS was wound up. The invitation reads:
"We invite you to an Open Day at a Western Group Forces Military Unit (Frankfurt-on Oder Garrison Nunnenstrasse, on 3rd November 1990, from 1000 hrs -1400 hrs. The Unit Command".
This particular barracks was an engineer unit.
