It is a three-dimensional figural work, where the central wooden cross with the sculpture of the Crucified Christ is flanked on the sides by free-standing statues of the mourning Virgin Mary and St. John the Evangelist.
This sculptural composition forms a historical superstructure of one of the side altars of the church.
