HMS ARGYLL CONDUCTS CROSSPOL WITH SEAHAWK HELICOPTER

On an overcast Monday afternoon (14th January 2019), HMS Argyll conducted a crosspol utilising an American Seahawk helicopter. The Flight Commander on HMS Argyll who had conducted a crosspol earlier in the day by seaboat was transferred back to the Type 23 Frigate from Devonport after the sea state was deemed unsafe to travel by seaboat. In using the American Seahawk, this gave 208 Flight the opportunity to practice bringing a foreign helicopter in to land, secure on and also take off again.
