Stripes (7-Eleven)
Stripes (7-Eleven) on Old Spanish Trail in Houston, Texas.
Stripes was created in 2006 by Susser Holdings when they ended their franchise agreement with Circle K. In 2014, Susser was acquired by Energy Transfer Partners, the company which controlled Sunoco. In 2015, Energy Transfer transferred ownership of Stripes to their affiliate, Sunoco LP. Under Energy Transfer/Sunoco, all locations that sold Stripes-branded fuel began to sell Sunoco fuel (although there are some Stripes locations that continue to sell Valero and Exxon gasoline).
Sunoco sold a majority of Stripes Stores to 7-Eleven in January 2018. Although these locations continue to operate under the Stripes name, they now sell many 7-Eleven private label items such as Slurpee drinks and 7 Select.
