"Lord of the Flies" rules...
There are lots of reasons why getting stupid drunk and passing out in a river tube is a bad idea. This is one. She's out cold, with only the fact that her body has locked up in its last known position to thank for her head being in an upright position - and her grip on her matching pink coozie. But she has drifted away from her friends, who are probably just as drunk, and at the mercy of whoever she might happen to float past. In this case, it's juvenile river rats, trying to decide whether to give her a face full of Super-Squirter river water. But they are unsure..
They might be worried that she might suddenly come to life and defend herself - or they may be wondering if they dare to take advantage of someone so completely defenseless. Maybe it's a shred of decency that keeps them from blasting her. I'd like to think so. But what about the next group of boys, who might be older, and who might have their judgement clouded by a couple of gallons of beer and the heat of the sun?
