Do we really live in a real world? It is really very difficult to know, we sense things in the frame of our senses. Our senses have limited perception areas.
A world ( universe ) could be created electronically like ours. We can't do that now. Maybe after a few billions of years later, we could be able to do that. Our advancing knowledge of science and technology, further biological development of human beings, AI help and our "will" not to die could make it possible. This is the best way to be immortal. If we could be able to create building blocks like atoms "and / or" quarks and fundamental forces electronically, a universe could develop from itself like ours with help of AI. If the occurred system couldn’t go further, we could make some corrections.
Maybe aliens who existed a few billions of years before us have already succeeded to create an electronic wold. Maybe we are the aliens who have existed a few billion years ago before us and living in an electronic world. The electronic world they created might need some correction to stop the sufferings which they are still existing. The humans in their "first life" might not know that we don't die. When the computer is old, the same software could be loaded in the new one.
Important is being conscious of our existence and have a world to live in.
What indications do we have to support the story above?
1. Nature did it with its way and created the world we are in now. It didn’t have capabilities to create an electronic one, made us conscious in a horrible world ( in which we die, kill, suffer, etc ), but it gave us brain to correct it. Aliens could have had powerful brains to create an electronic world.
2. We are like a computer. We need a software to run us. We get this in our development by our society. Some of us have better computer and software, but we all are malfunctioning sometimes and in some situations.
3. Everything what created in our universe were made very smartly, very complex processes created the stars, galaxies, animals, humans, etc. To create these complex processes, it needed “thinking”. There is a thinking process in our universe. Thinking process is essential like building blocks and fundamental forces to create things. Aliens might be creating this thinking process.
Thinking is the major process in our universe to create things, just the laws of physics and chemistry not enough. Without thinking, aliens couldn't be able to create a city like on my picture.
