Information on the DC-9 Series 20 from flickr - thanks to Chris (Heathrow Junkie):
The DC-9 Series 20 was designed especially for SAS who required improved short field performance (by using the more powerful engines and improved wings of the Series 30 combined with the shorter fuselage of the Series 10. Ten Series 20 aircraft were produced, all of them the Model 21 - one was unfortunately written off in an accident in 1973 (LN-RLM).

First flight September 18th 1968 as N8965U and the first DC-9-21, and was used to get the Flight Certification for the DC-9-21, and delivered to SAS March 22nd 1969 as the 7th of 10 DC-9-21s, as LN-RLL "Guttorm Viking". The new DC-9-21s replaced the CV-440s for domestic services. 1984 LN-RLL repainted to the new SAS colours. October 1st 1990 sold and leased back as OY-KIA: February 1st 2000 wfu and returned to Lessor as N316GA after 31 years of service in SAS. September 28th 201 YV-13C Aeropostal. September 2005 rr TI-AZS, but did not taken up. Broken up in 2008, cockpit used in a Hotel.
