Pan American World Airways (Pan Am)

 

Note: N734PA (1) was Douglas DC-7CF c/n 44876/673 flying for Pan Am from February 1956 to 1964.

 

N734PA in its initial colours is lined up for take-off on Riem’s runway 25 during the time of dandelion bloom (late April/early May) ca. 1973 or 1974. Pan Am had started daily MUC-FRA-JFK services in summer 1972.

Delivered to Pan Am as N734PA in 1969. To GATX/Airlog as N491GX in 1991 and converted to a freighter. To Federal Express in 1992 then to UPS as N691UP in 1993. Withdrawn from use at Goodyear, AZ in 2002 and scrapped.
