D-ABUD 'Nürnberg' c/n 18927 - Boeing 707-330B was delivered new to Lufthansa in Nov 1965. In 1981, the aircraft was one of five Lufthansa machines that was sold to the newly independent country of Zimbabwe's national flag carrier Air Zimbabwe. The aircraft flew initially as VP-WKV, and later as Z-WKV. Ten years later, the aircraft was sold again, to African Express Airways as 5Y-AXI, and was only withdrawn around 2000 after 35 years in service. It ended up withdrawn at Sharjah International, UAE.
