YK-AIC
Tupolev Tu-154M
85A710
Syrian Arab Airlines (Syrian Air)
YK-AIC is taxiing to runway 25 for take-off. Sometimes Tu-154Ms appeared on the regular MUC flights Syrian Air usually operated with B747SPs or B727-200s.
Syrian Air had three Tu-154Ms: YK-AIA, YK-AIB and YK-AIC. All three of them were seen at Riem multiple times. YK-AIA and YK-AIC are apparently still stored at DAM (2023), while YK-AIB was ferried from DAM to Aviakor at Samara in November 2005 and probably scrapped there sometime after September 2006.
YK-AIC was manufactured in March 1985 and registered to Syrian Air on 1 May 1985. Last seen operational at ATH on 25 May 2001; seen stored at DAM January 2002/May 2010; two Tu-154s still visible (YK-AIA and YK-AIC?) on Google Earth 2021.
