Varied thrushes really are "varied," as it turns out.

 

Usually when I see them they're at least 15 feet up on a branch in a shady forest. I call that variation "The 3000 ISO Thrush."

 

This variation of the varied thrush landed about eye-level, maybe 10 feet away, and situated itself in some lovely soft light.

 

I call this variation, "The Photo-Friendly Thrush."
