Rock Sandpiper
I was at North Jetty in Ocean Shores looking around when I noticed some scoters off in the distance. So I wandered along the rocks, right near the surf trying to get a decent look at the scoters.
They weren't getting any closer, and just about when I was going to turn around and head back to the beach, I realized I was surrounded by birds.
Black turnstones were all over. Surfbirds were hopping rock to rock. And this bird too.
