UP 8631 West
So after DJI’s usual BS screwed up my first shot of the day down at West Yard, I got the chance to redeem myself with this mixed consist train at Krieger.
The horn sounded great blowing through Bonner and had me thinking it was going to be an EMD T4 rounding the curve but instead I got a fairly dirty SD70ACe and a KCS GEVO. The frost on the tops of the tank cars makes a nice touch in the 18 degree cold of the morning.
The sun was starting to get muted with the clouds here and I decided to call it a day after shooting this one. So this will likely be the last shot of 2020 unless the clouds miraculously disappear later this afternoon.
It looks like we are really going to get some snow starting tonight and we may actually end up with 4” if you trust the talking heads on the TV. I’ll believe it when I see it, but rest assured that if we get some fresh powder I’m going to head out and grab some images.
