1.Stay calm, speak slowly and clearly while unfolding the incident.
2.While calling an ambulance or police, be exact about your location.
3.State your name, phone number, address, apartment number, city or town, and directions, including landmarks or cross streets very clearly.
4.Describe in full the type of help you need. Is it medical, police or fire assistance?
5.If anyone is sick or wounded, then detail out the condition.
6.Make sure to let them know the first aid you had given and ask if anything else could be have use.
7.First listen carefully and then write down instructions. Ask the dispatcher to repeat the information.
8.Don’t hang up too soon rather wait until the dispatcher tells you to hang up.
9.Make sure your house number is clearly visible. If it’s dark, turn a light on outdoors to show your house number.
