Visiting Monument Valley
The valley, so familiar from Western Movies is located on the Arizona–Utah border and is the property of the Navajo Nation.
Unsurprisingly it's very popular with visitors, who can (for a small fee) drive round part of the valley in their cars. In the picture you can see a car on the unsurfaced road that goes part-way round the valley. I was driving a "normal" car and found it mostly OK, but with some bits needing more attention. Organised tours show more.
I went round twice - morning and night - which turned out to be a good idea as the light had changed a lot in the interim.
